In the same years when TV aired, Galoob's plans released the Dinosaucers toy line, which was how most cartoons in the 1980s then 1990s got toyline for toy sales. A prototype figure was released, and a commercial advertisement was made. Then now canceled due to lower viewership and below reception, and it never made it to complete.

Toyline cast includes Allo, Bronto Thunder, Stego, Bonehead, Genghis Rex, Ankylo, Quackpot, and Plesio. They have ships (Allo, Stego, Genghis Rex, and Ankylo) with small action figures whose size is 1" and fewer details, and Lavadome playset.

They also have the flicker card with the front are Dinosaucers and Tyrannos devolves them to their primitive depending on the angle. And back gives info about their genus; however, their devolves in card look nothing like the TV, minus Plesio and Stego.

Close up[]

Dinosaucers[]

Allo (Allosaurus)
Allosaurus was one of the chief carnivores (meat-eating) dinosaurs of the Jurassic period, between 193 and 135 million years ago. About 35 feet long when fully grown, it fed on larger dead dinosaurs or hunted smaller prey. Allosaurus was bipedal, walking onright on its hind legs, and had monstrous sharp teeth, a ridge above the eyes, and bony bumps on its skin. Remains have been found largely in central North America.
Bronto Thunder (Apatosaurus)
Formerly known as Brontosaurus, the massive, 30-ton Apatosaurus is one of the best-known of the dinosaurs. Supported by pillarlike legs that could crush an attacker, Apatosaurus has a long, slender neck, a low head and a tail tapered at the end like a bullwhip. It inhabited western North America over 135 million years ago during the Jurassic period.
Stego (Stegosaurus)
The 30-foot body of this massive two-ton beast tapered off into a small head enclosing a brain about the size of a walnut. Large body plates ran along its spine. In battle, Stegosaurus lashed out with the sharp spikes at the end of its thick, heavy tail. It lived in central North America over 135 million years ago during the late Jurassic period.
Bonehead (Pachycephalosaurus)
Much like present-day rams and goats, this boneheaded dinosaur used his head as a combination battering ran and crash helmet. With a thick skull covered with piercing knobs and spikes, it was well equipped to defend itself. Pachycephalosaurus was bipedal, walking on its hind legs, and lived in herds, feeding on plants and roots. It lived in western North America during the late Cretaceous period, over 55 million years ago.

Tyrannos[]

Genghis Rex (Tyrannosarus Rex)
One of the largest and most fearsome of the carnivores (meat-eating) dinosaurs was Tyrannosaurus Rex. Standing more than thirty feet tall, so that it might have looked over the tops of two-story buildings, it has powerful jaws and huge teeth, some the size of butcher knives. Fossils have been found in central North America and date from the late Cretaceous period, about 65 million years ago.
Ankylo (Ankylosaurus)
Armor plated with a covering of spikes and body plates, Ankylosaurus was a plant-eating dinosaur that roamed throughout parts of North America during the late Cretaceous period, over 65 million years ago. The tip of its long tail was fortified with a heavy mass of bone, which was strong powerfully as attackers.
Quackpot (Hadrosaurus)
This duckbill of dinosaurs swam the lakes and swamps of Canada and central North America during the Cretaceous period, over 65 million years ago. A large, thick tails served it as a rudder while swimming. Hadrosaurus has a long shell with rounded humps in front of the eyes and nostrils and used its hundreds of grinding teeth to feed on plants. The teeth frequently fell out and were replaced by new ones, remembering as many as three thousand over a lifetime.
Plesio (Plesiosaur)
Athough not actually a dinosaur, Plesiosaur was a large reptile that ruled the seas during the prehistoric Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Plesiosaur had a very long neck, a small head, and propelled itself through the water with its low paddle-like limbs to feed on fish. Remains have been found in England and elsewhere.

Result[]

In 1989, after Dinosaucers reaired and dubbed in Brazil, Glasslite contacted Galoob and purchased the toy molds. In September 1998, Galoob was sold to Hasbro, then even rarely found. The toy and cards are rarely found, and there are bootlegs toy of them; they can be found in North America and Latin America.

Note[]

  • Toyline's design is more accurate to the original drawing by Craig Berman than TV by comparison.
  • Hasbro has also promoted their action figures and revealed the concept art of redesigning Dinosaucers (Allo, Stego, Ichy, Genghis Rex, Quackpot, and Styraco). Hasbro's Dinosaucers didn't exist because the creator, Michael E. Uslan, didn't like the redesign from Hasbro and commented, "This looks like inhumanoids stuff" resulting ending in nothing happening.
