For comic books in 2018–2019 counterpart, see Terrible Dactyl.

Terrible Dactyl (Voiced by John Stocker) is one of the Tyrannos and the only member of the group who can fly. He is Teryx's evil counterpart. And he speaks with a British accent.

He is the group espionage and seems one of the most intelligent Tyrannos. He often starts the action by reporting the Dinosaucers' activity to Genghis Rex, which creates or inspires a plot.

Furthermore, he is a pterosaur,[a] despite being in the group of full dinosaurs with one plesiosaurus, a flying reptile contemporary to the dinosaurs but only distantly related to them. His kind was present in the Late Cretaceous between 75 and 65 million years ago. One species saw the Cretaceous-Tertiary, K-T, K-Pg, or Cretaceous-Palaeogene extinction, which wiped out his kind and 75% of all species on Earth.

Characteristics[]

Appearances[]

Compared to Dinosaucers and Tyrannos expectations of Secret Scouts and humans, he is short. Despite his kind being the cousin of Pteranodon, His crest consists of a long horn that resembles Pteranodon. He has bold orange non-pycnofibers, and crimson bat-like wing and his tail, with vivid blue eyes colour. He has a triangle wrist and tail, though his triangle wrist is in behind. His head accessories consist of a deep violet aviation helmet with black goggles.

He dons a white untied scarf and is wearing a vivid rose leotard have short sleeves with a large collar. His deep violet boots have a back spike which is not seen by the centre. His belt with purse has one-time ability and without the need to click the belt, it was a grappling hook carrying a cut large bare which is the heaviest weight.[b]

As monkey Wing which was a dream by Sarah, he doesn't pretty much change in costume. His collar, insignias, hand bands and purse in the belt were removed. He donned spiky range sleeves to the leg, his scarf was once tied, and his boot altered to lose spiky and a softened texture.

His minion had different distinct hues, despite him getting twice colour errors; their non-pycnofibers and their wing and tail were fair, and their leotard's colour changed from vivid rose to purplish lavender, and their helmet and boot changed was deep violet to red.

In his disguise as summer camp like Ankylo, he wears a green shirt, yellow short pants, and black shoes

Personality[]

Despite being evil and wicked, he also has an honourable side. He once helped the Dinosaucers retrieve a bunch of Pteranodon eggs and take them to Reptilon, where they would grow and develop appropriately, instead of giving them to Genghis Rex, who would raise them to join the Tyrannos. Terrible Dactyl even takes one of the baby Pteranodons there himself. Genghis Rex respects this decision, as he does not punish his comrade. Instead, Rex seems to feel that Terrible Dactyl's protective instinct for his sister species is intuitive and cannot be removed or suppressed.[1]

Trivia[]

  • He has blink-and-miss colour error,
  • Ironic; Pteranodon is called pterodactyl by everyone who doesn't know about palaeontology.
  • In the German dub of Dinosaucers (Die Astro Dinos), Terrible Dactyl's name was dubbed "Dactylo."

Footnotes[]

  1. He stated Pteranodons is his cousin genus,[1] which could suggest he's Pterodactylus with resembled Pteranodon crest with Rhamphorhynchus tail. Because of this, the label pterosaur seems suitable because pterodactyl is sometimes a term used for pterosaurs. Plus Pteranodon in this show is drawn to have a long tail like him, at least they have toothless like their meaning name.
  2. This is also noticed he doesn't even need his leader or acquaintance to help him with cutting large bare, implies he is surprised has a large weight than more than meet the eyes.[2]
